In the beginning, there was "NOTHING". GOD created day and night, the Heavens and the Earth. He was there before anything else and GOD created man in his image for his glory and pleasure.
From the time of Adam and Eve, after they ate the fruit form the tree of knowledge, SIN separated man form GOD. Therefore to reconcile man to GOD, he sent his Son Jesus to die on the cross to be a perfect sacrifice. This bridged the gap between man and GOD.
Unlike other religions, Christianity is more of a relationship between GOD and man rather than a religion. Christians enter the kingdom of GOD not by their own efforts but because of GOD's grace.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not
your own doing, it is the gift of GOD -
not because of works lest anyone should boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9
"He saved us, not because of deeds done by us in righteousness,
but in virtue of his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and
renewal in the Holy Spirit."

THE FACT OF SIN
Romans 3:10 - There is no one righteous, not even one...
Romans 3:23 - for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
1 John 1:8 - If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
THE PENALTY
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our God.
James 1:15 - Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown gives birth to death.
Hebrews 9:27 - Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.
THE REMEDY
John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"
Acts 4:12 - Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.
John 1:12 - Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
Acts 3:19 - Repent, then , and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshings may come form the Lord.
Romans 10:9 - That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
I was once told a story of a young man, on a cold winter's night. As he sat by the warm fireplace, he noticed a few sparrows, pecking on his window, as if they were trying to enter in, to enjoy the same warmth that he was enjoying. Feeling sorry for the sparrows out in the freezing snow, He came up with a Brilliant idea. He went out into the snow, and opened the huge doors of his barn. Afterwhich he tried to get the sparrows into the warm barn but no matter How he tried, they flew in opposite directions. After many hours of running around in the snow, He finally got a few sparrows into the barn.
Are you like that man in the beginning, who was in his comfort zone and Not willing to make an extra effort to reach out to those lost sparrows ?
Or are you one of those sparrows who yearns for meaning in life, Frantically searching, knowing that there is warmth that we can ravel in ?
Have you realised as a Christian how difficult it is to share the gospel to Unbelievers, just like the sparrows, knowing that there was warmth in the Barn, they still chose not to accept. But like that man, we mustn't give up. Only one or two out of the many we approached may come to know the Lord but We must still persevere and keep trying.
